Once you have joined the Petro Points program it is easy to start collecting rewards! Below is a break-down of the earning levels in this program.
Petro Points has also recently introduced the Monthly Points Top-Up program! Collect an extra 750 Petro Points when you purchase 150-249L of fuel per month and collect 1000 extra Petro Points when you purchase 250L or more of fuel per month.

Petro Points will not be awarded on the purchase of tobacco, Petro-Canada gift certificates, Petro-Canada Gift Cards, taxes on non-petroleum purchases, or any other items specified as exclusions from time to time.

1. Register your Petro Points card online and get 2500 Bonus Points.
2. Sign up for a CIBC Petro-Points MasterCard with PayPass for added benefits. You will save 2 cents per litre on fuel when you use your card at Petro-Canada stations across Canada. You will also earn 50% more Petro-Points on eligible purchases made at Petro-Canada, Grocery Stores and Drug Stores. For each dollar you spend on your Petro-Points MasterCard at other retailers you will earn 10 Petro-Points. Once you’ve been accepted for this program you will receive a Welcome Bonus of 15,000 Points on first use. An additional bonus of 5000 Points will be awarded any month you spend more than $1000.00 on your card.
3. Collect 20% more Petro-Points when you register your Ontario CAA Membership with your Petro-Points account.
4. Earn 10 Petro-Points for every dollar you spend on travel with itravel2000.com (excludes taxes).
5. Earn 10 Points per dollar you spend at ThePoints SHOP.
6. Provide a valid email address when you enroll to earn 2500 Bonus Points

Redeem your Petro-Points in-store for instant savings on snacks, beverages, gas, phone cards, lottery tickets, car washes and more. Or you can redeem points online in The Points Shop, for CAA memberships, travel with itravel200.com or gift cards. You can also redeem your points for a Fuel Savings Card online or in-store.

[toggle title=”Tips” collapse=”false” ]1. The best choice for redemption is the Fuel Savings Card. For 15,000 Points (or 14,000 to reload online) you will save 5 cents per litre on 200 litres of fuel. It works out to $10 in free gas!
2. Use the Fuel Savings Card in conjunction with your CIBC Petro-Points MasterCard to save 7 cents per litre on 200 litres of fuel. This works out to $14.00 in free gas!
