Check your inboxes! If you were affected by the Revlon ColorSilk FPC debacle, Save.ca has sent out an email with an update!

After talks with Revlon & Walmart, it has been decided the coupon will be accepted as it. However, due to popularity of the product, many people are having difficulty finding their shade. As a result, they are asking that you hold on to your coupon until at least the week of March 15th to ensure that your colour preference is available!

As a further bonus to apologize, Revlon & Save.ca are offering an additional mail coupon for $2 of any Revlon ColorSilk Product.

The coupon is available to you through the unique link in your email only.

SaveaLoonians, I’ve got some news for you and you’re probably not going to want to hear it 🙁

I received my Revlon ColorSilk FPC’s earlier this week (both on Wednesday), took a quick look at them and put them in my basket to be sorted & put away.

Then, on my travels around the Facebook Universe last night, with the help of some fellow couponers, I came to a startling realization. The Revlon FPC’s have NO REDEMPTION ADDRESS.

Now, if you’ve been in the couponing game for any length of time, you know that no redemption address basically makes a coupon (especially an FPC) invalid. However, it is important to note that the coupons are redeemable at Walmart only. This is technically the only time coupons don’t need redemption address, but that practice usually only comes into affect when the coupons are printed by the company themselves, instead of a third party distributor.

I’ve seen people who’ve been able to redeem it no problem, and others are being denied. This issue was addressed by others on the Save.ca wall and they were instructed to send a PM to get a link to claim another (this time valid) coupon. I haven’t tried yet but I won’t be bothering to try and redeem these ones, so I’ve already sent my PM (no response yet).

You may have success redeeming. Try it out, if it doesn’t work, try contacting Save.ca. Or if you don’t want to take the risk, there is no harm in sending them a PM addressing the issue.

**UPDATE**
At around 7:30am ET this morning (Feb 14th), Save.ca sent out a mass email regarding this issue.

Now, lets go back a couple of weeks. Save.ca has a similar fiasco with the Pepperidge Farm Sweet Crisps FPC. However, in that case it was a date issue and Save.ca directly notified everyone affected & sent them another link to claim another coupon via email. None of this “PM us” business. Why aren’t they doing that again? Oh and not to mention, I never did get a second link to claim a second FPC from that promotion either 🙁

I’m more than a little disappointed in Save.ca but remain ever grateful for the coupons they do offer. I’m just hoping they can get the next one right (and send me 2 more valid coupons!). What’s your experience with this? Have you been able to redeem your coupons? Have you contacted Save.ca? Were you also affected by the Pepperidge Farm Coupon error? Share your thoughts with us on the SaveaLoonie Facebook Page!
