Woohoo! What a great start to a short work week!
I just received an email from Canadian Living letting me know I was 1 of the first 500 to sign up for the Gold Bond 7 Day Challenge (now over)!
Since I was lucky enough to get in on this offer, Canadian Living included a coupon for a FREE Gold Bond Ultimate Moisturizing Cream or Lotion in the email! The only catch – it’s a print coupon.
I’ve got a couple of issues with this.
First, as well all know, at some stores getting cashiers to accept “dollars & cents” print coupons is like pulling teeth – let alone a Free Product Coupon. Many stores even have written right into their coupon policies that they will not accept full value print coupons. For this reason, actually being able to redeem this coupon may prove difficult.
Secondly, since it is a print coupon it’s REALLY easy for someone to save the image and distribute the link among the general population and/or print & redeem multiple copies. As an advocate for ethical & considerate couponing, we will be doing neither of these things. Since this promotion was intended for the 500 people who were selected & received the email coupon only, taking advantage of this coupon could really damage the company. Not only that, it gives couponers a bad rap and discourages companies & brands from running similar promotions in the future. Just my 2 cents.
All in all, super pumped to be chosen & be able to try out this product! Were you selected too? Let us know on the SaveaLoonie Facebook Page!
