Remember back in 2012, Kellogg’s had brought back their Gas Card Promotion. Inside specially marked cereals was a mail in rebate form for a free $5 Gas Card. It really is a great promo, I’m really hoping they bring it back in 2013!
During the course of the promotion, I had picked up 4 boxes of cereal. The rebate allowed 5 per household. I filled out the rebate forms and sent them off in late 2012 and in all honesty, kind of forgot about them.
That is until today! I was initially a little confused by the envelopes from Kellogg’s but once I read the letter enclosed it all came rushing back!
The Gas Card promotion has been such a success they had run out of supplies. So in exchange for the Gas Card, Kellogg’s sent me an FPC for each of the rebates I had sent out. I received 4 Free Product Coupons for ANY Kellogg’s product!
Now you’re probably wondering if this is a good trade off. Well I think it definitely is! First off, the coupons have no maximum value so they can be redeemed for a product greater than $5 which was the max value of the Gas Card. Second, we don’t drive often so our gas expenses aren’t really that high. We do however eat everyday! So coupons for free food are more than welcome in exchange for gas any day!
