I saw a local news segment this week that said the average Canada Post carrier in the city of Peterborough had a route of 18km. 18km per day. Putting that into perspective, each carrier in our wonderful city travels on foot the equivalent of walking clear across Canada every year! That kind of mileage takes a toll on the human body – especially in these frigid temperatures & mountains of snow. As a result, Canada Post is saying the mail in Peterborough is at least 2 or 3 days behind schedule simply due to carriers not being able to get it all done.
If this is the case here, I can imagine many other cities in Canada are experiencing the same kinds of delays in mail delivery.
And that, unfortunately, makes for some slow mail days for us! Not that I can blame them, I just want my coupons & samples! 😛
That being said, I did get some goodies this week. Want to see what I got? Click through below!
