As part of Canada Post’s Five-Point Action Plan, over the next 5 years, home mail delivery will be complete phased out.
Home mail boxes will be replaces with community mailboxes beginning in the Fall of 2014.
Canada Post has announced the first 11 communities (approximately 100,000 addresses) that will be affected by this change:
Calgary – T2B, T3J
Fort McMurray – T9H, T9J, T9K
Winnipeg – R2P, R2V
Oakville – L6H, L6J, L6K, L6L, L6M
Ottawa – K2K, K2L, K2M
Rosemere – J7A
Lorraine – J6Z
Bois-des-filion – J6Z
Charlemagne – J5Z
Repentigny – J5Y, J6A, J5Z
Halifax – B4A, B4B, B4C, B4E, B4G
