After months of uncertainty, Visa & Walmart have reached an agreement.
Back in early June, we reported about the dispute with Visa and Walmart regarding fees. As a deal couldn’t be reached, Walmart threatened to stop accepting Visa at their stores.
And in July, Walmart made good on that threat by dropping Visa at all stores in Thunder Bay and spreading to all 16 stores in Manitoba in October.
But with the busy Christmas shopping season over, both sides have managed to come to an agreement and Walmart has announced effective TODAY (Jan 6th) all Walmart Stores will once again accept Visa.
