This is so not good.
A month ago, we blogged about the possibility of a Canada Post Lock-out. Well, one month later, it’s looking more and more like an inevitability than a possibility.
Not only is this a big bummer for coupons & freebies but what about bills – they still have to be paid, cards & invitations, online orders, gifts? All of that gets put on hold too!
Many companies have already begun to notify customers they must still pay their bills (boo! lol) and take measures for this lockout.
If you have something that absolutely MUST get shipped, today is the LAST DAY to get it out without your items getting stuck in Postal Limbo. However, unfortunately, if you’re looking to send a parcel expedited or a letter Xpresspost nationally, you’re already too late. But if you get your parcel in by the end of the day, you can still get it anywhere in the country as a Priority Package (read: more expensive). Local deliveries can still be sent expedited parcel or Xpresspost letter until the end of the day, and still make it.
I’m really hoping this mail stoppage doesn’t last long! I have Save The Dates to get sent out in the next couple of weeks!
