I was more than a little shocked when I woke this morning to find out that my Go-To Photo Printing website has been comprised.
News broke yesterday, that the Walmart Canada Photo Centre website had been taken offline due to a potential security breach. As many as 60,000 Canadians could be affected by this Credit Card Data Breach – and I’m one of them!
I’ve used WalmartPhotoCentre.ca regularly for over a year, so I was quite alarmed by this. I do however, monitor our credit cards pretty closely and have not noticed anything unusual. To be extra sure, I immediately logged into my banking websites and took a close look at all recent transactions. Nothing looked suspicious, but I will be continuing to monitor them extra closely for the next while.
At this time, there is no reason to believe that in-store customers or those that shop on Walmart.ca are impacted by this breach.
