By now, I’m sure many of you have checked your inboxes and discovered an email from ethicalSamples giving you the unfortunate news that your sample isn’t coming 🙁
While I can understand that this may be a disappointment for you, please allow us & ethicalSamples to explain before getting too worked up over it.
First things first – this WAS NOT an attempt or ploy by ethicalSamples / ethicalDeals to get your information. This is / was a LEGITIMATE sample opportunity however, the demand far outweighed the supplies., and here’s why.
You see, this was a beta (test) launch of this program for pre-registered ethicalDeal Members. We received notification of this offer from such a SaveaLoonian who received an invite to the beta sample program. She then, forwarded the information to me, where I in turn shared it with all of you.
What we weren’t aware of at the time, was that there were a VERY SMALL quantity of samples available to those that signed up by invite only – under 1000.
Since the SaveaLoonie Community very obviously rocks, the news of this offer spread virally in a matter of hours and before long, ethicalSamples received OVER 20,000 requests. This all happened very fast and before ethicalSamples could put up the Sold Out notice or turn off confirmation emails.
As a result, many of you sadly will not be getting your samples. Instead, you received a discount code for ethicalDeals & assurance that you will be first of the line for the next opportunity. However, those that were able to get a request in before supplies ran out, will still get their sample.
But please, don’t let that get you down! I’ve been in talks with the lovely Annalea at ethicalSamples for a few days now, and have found out some really great news! This summer, ethicalSamples will be back with exciting new sampling opportunities, this time open to the public.
Snaffoos like this happen, and we hope that all SaveaLoonians take the bad news with the good and don’t give ethicalSamples a hard time about this. Mistakes happen and they’ve promised to delivery more samples soon!
