This is a joint recall with Dyson, Health Canada and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and involves 2 distinct products.
The Dyson Hot and the Dyson Hot+Cool Heaters, sold under model numbers AM04 and AM05, are both being recalled due to a fire hazard. The affected product can develop an electrical short and overheat, posing a fire hazard.
There were approximately 43,000 heaters sold in Canada, nationwide. These products were sold at Sears, Canadian Tire, Future shop, Best Buy, The Bay, Home Outfitters, Costco, Home Hardware, Leon’s, Corbeil, www.dysoncanada.ca, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Shopping Channel, Walmart, Lowe’s, The Brick, Home Depot, Staples, Target, various incentive suppliers, and independent retailers from July 2011 to March 2014.
