Say Hello to CartSmart – the newest edition to the digital couponing world! Like Checkout 51 and SnapSaves, CartSmart is a mobile application that earns you cash back on your purchases, but more than that, they are an all-in-one shopping app!
How It Works
CartSmart is built to help you in all aspects of grocery shopping – they are a flyer app, shopping list app and cash back app all in one!
Start by signing up (if you are new to CartSmart, please use referrer savealoonie1 – Thanks!) or signing into your account. The first thing you will see is a list of the current SmartDeals (cash back offers). From here, you can navigate the entire application.
Plan your trip. Use CartSmart’s built in flyer feature to quickly browse through your local store sales. The type and number of flyers available to you will vary depending upon your location. Use your finger to navigate through the available flyers, then tap on the image to open up the full version.
Build your list. Use the SmartList feature to build your shopping list. Use the image below to learn the ins and outs of the SmartList.
Go shopping. Take CartSmart with you while you shop to stay organized and on-track in the store. Pick up the items from your list and cross them off as you go. For your purchase to qualify, it must be made within the timeframe listed in the item details.
Prove it. Navigate back to your shopping list. Tap the Send Your Receipt button at the bottom of you list to access the camera. Take a photo of your receipt (you may need to take multiple photos of long receipts) and submit it as proof of purchase. Your receipt must be uploaded within 24 hours of the offer closing date.
Get paid. Within 48 hours of submitting a receipt, your money will be credited to your CartSmart account. Now you just have to decide what to do with it! One of the biggest differences with CartSmart and other digital rebate apps is, you can cash out with PayPal or with a check. With PayPal, there is NO minimum amounts, you earned a Loonie, you can cash out a Loonie to your PayPal account! If you rather a check, you must hit a minimum balance of $20.
When Are New Offers Released
Every week CartSmart release new SmartDeals. This usually happens on Thursdays or Fridays.
Some deals are available for multiple weeks and others are available for 1 week only.

Can I Use Coupons Too
You sure can! You can even combine coupons, sales or price matching, and other digital rebate applications for some serious savings!
Do read the terms of each offer carefully though, as occasionally there may be exclusions.
What To Know About CartSmart
As with any rewards program there are some rules you need to follow and some things you need to know about CartSmart before you get started.
- Currently, CartSmart is only available to users with Apple devices with cameras. There is an Android version planned to be released very soon!
- There is no limit on the number rebate redemption per item, per week, per person unless otherwise specified. Read each offers terms for specific details. For instance, there is a SmartDeal on Taco Kits and I buy 10 of them, as long as it doesn’t state otherwise, I can earn cash back on all 10 of the items purchased.
- You are able to submit multiple receipts each week. If you bought 1 item on Monday and different item on Tuesday, you are able to submit both receipts for rebates.
- Each rebate item is only available in limited quantities. Once the maximum number of users have redeemed for that item, you will no longer be able to. This means you want to get your shopping done early and your receipts submitted ASAP.
- CartSmart IS available to residents of Quebec however there are some categories in which offers are restricted, so once again, be sure to read each offers details. It is important to note, that in Quebec, CartSmart works best with receipts from Provigo, Loblaws, Maxi, Walmart & Target. While other retailers may be accepted, this cannot be guaranteed due to insufficient information to verify the purchase by.
- In order to claim a SmartDeal, you MUST first add it to a shopping list.
- Refer friends to CartSmart through the in-app referral section and you get a bonus when they complete their first shopping trip!
